Or something like that. As part of the church doing what it should, let's stop doing what it shouldn't.

Love in Christ,

JRYJeff Richard Younghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03733241874625816333noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6220474839105988272.post-42620678546130699972010-08-07T21:23:06.072-07:002010-08-07T21:23:06.072-07:00Thanks Gene...you always have good things to think...Thanks Gene...you always have good things to think about. I am in agreement to what you have said.

Question: When is it that you go through the list of fundamentals and slam on the brakes either by church or its leaders? How can we deal with this and how then can we move on?

Wondering....this is a make or break moment for church leaders to deal with and some do not have the stomach to do so. "Status Quo" happens alot I am sure.

Thanks, BSleepy Disciplehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05117262126413652984noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6220474839105988272.post-20213828104047031282010-08-06T21:35:31.947-07:002010-08-06T21:35:31.947-07:00Dear Pastor Brian,

(Or many other road blocks) I believe this is the reason many pastor's leave their post to find a church that is willing to DO SOMETHING for the kingdom. Unfortunately, they leave to find that the next church is the same as the one they left."

If it is the same lack of followership everywhere a leader goes, then something is wrong, and that something is VERY FUNDAMENTAL to the process.

(1) Does anyone periodically examine what all the "church" is involved in, activity by activity, with the purpose of determining how it relates to what Scripture says a church ought to be and do?

(2) Do all the members have a clear understanding of what church ought to be and do? and

(3) Do those understandings align with the leadership's understandings? If not, why?

Of course, those questions have the built-in assumption that church leadership has a clear understanding of what church ought to be and do. Hmmmmm.

Yep. Sounds like something is fundamentally wrong...sure 'nuff.

GeneGene Poolhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10750784630974424684noreply@blogger.com
